Sleaford Town Team aim to raise £1,000 for Teenage Market licence

Sleaford Town Team is calling on local residents and businesses to back a new Teenage Market scheme to showcase young talent.
After realising that young people were not engaging with their local market, Stockport-based brothers Tom and Joe Barratt created The Teenage Market.

It gives young people who are already trading online chance to trade at their local market, as well as aiming to inspire young people who have never considered the idea of trading on a market to have a go.
Traders and performers between the ages of 10 and 29 can get involved with the market, either by running their own stalls or performing on the day.
After the first Teenage Market, the brothers said they were inundated with requests from other towns to bring the event to them.
They have now created a two-year licence package for local authorities which provides the guidance and marketing materials to run a Teenage Market.
The package also gives towns access to an online portal which aims to make the process of creating, managing and promoting events as simple as possible.
