Owens Corning Sees Strong Trading Volume Following Earnings Beat (OC)

Owens Corning (NYSE:OC) saw an uptick in trading volume on Wednesday after the company announced better than expected quarterly earnings, Analyst Ratings Network.com reports. 5,079,343 shares were traded during mid-day trading, an increase of 128% from the previous session’s volume of 2,231,697 shares.The stock last traded at $39.25 and had previously closed at $39.61.
The company reported $0.47 EPS for the quarter, beating the Thomson Reuters consensus estimate of $0.43 by $0.04. The company had revenue of $1.26 billion for the quarter, compared to the consensus estimate of $1.31 billion. During the same quarter in the prior year, the company posted $0.44 earnings per share. The company’s quarterly revenue was down 1.3% on a year-over-year basis.
The company also recently declared a quarterly dividend, which will be paid on Thursday, April 2nd. Investors of record on Friday, March 13th will be given a dividend of $0.17 per share. This represents a $0.68 dividend on an annualized basis and a yield of 1.72%.
