NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Shares of Google
(GOOGL)
are higher by 0.17% to $523.65 in early market trading Thursday,
following reports that the technology company reached a deal with Twitter
(TWTR) , according to Bloomberg.
Google search results will now include Twitter users' 140
character posts as soon as they are tweeted, starting in the first half
of the year, Bloomberg reported.
Previously, Google had to look through the microblogging site, but now the information will come automatically from Twitter and its 284 million users. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
