Monday Sector Leaders: Energy, Financial

In afternoon trading on Monday, Energy stocks are the best performing sector, up 2.0%. Within the sector, Denbury Resources (NYSE: DNR) and Transocean (NYSE: RIG) are two large stocks leading the way, showing a gain of 9.5% and 5.5%, respectively. Among energy ETFs, one ETF following the sector is the Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (AMEX: XLE), which is up 1.3% on the day, and down 3.31% year-to-date. Denbury Resources, meanwhile, is down 7.07% year-to-date, and Transocean, is down 6.22% year-to-date. Combined, DNR and RIG make up approximately 0.7% of the underlying holdings of XLE.
